Welcome to the Spectrum Logistics family. You have made a great decision. Getting setup to book loads is very simple. The first step is to learn the system and the second step is to transition your business.
Step 1: Learn the System
Please complete the below training program. It will take approximately 2 hours. Once completed you should be ready to enter orders in the system.

Practice in the demo site. (30 Minutes)

- Save the address as a favorite called Aljex Demo Site.
- Add a bill to, a shipper, and a consignee.
- Use these companies to create an order.
- Tender the order to a carrier already in the system.
- Complete and release the order.
You should be all set and ready to book loads! To access the production system, click this link: Aljex Vision Login. Make sure to save the address as a favorite called Aljex System. You will use this daily. Contact your recruiter for your login and password to production.
Become an expert.
Once you are working in the system you may find that you have more questions or need additional training. If that is the case we have several options for you:

Step 2: Transitioning Your Customers & Carriers
You have worked hard. Your customers are happy with your service. Your carriers are there for you when you need them. The last thing you want to do is disrupt the existing ebb and flow of your business. We get that. Our goal at Spectrum Logistics is to make your transition as seamless as possible. Our process is designed to do just this.
Setting up Company Files in Aljex
Customer files can be created individually or as a batch. This includes your shippers, consignees and bill to profiles. If you wish to create your customer files individually, simply follow the instructions covered in systems training. If you wish to load your customers into the system as a batch, please return your customer list to your recruiter using the following excel template. Click here for the Customer Import Template
While batch loading your customer base may be the fastest way, we have found this is a great opportunity to ensure each file is accurate and contains correct information. Instead of downloading your book of business from your previous system to our system it may be a good time to clean up those customer files.
Setting up Customers
In addition to setting your customers up in the system, we must alert them that they must change their records to reflect Spectrum Logistics. To help you we have created and example communication to assist you in communicating the correct information to them. Click here for the Customer Transition Letter. Simply open the document and copy it into an email to your customers and attach our “Customer Setup Package,” which includes all of the information they need to establish Spectrum Logistics as a supplier. Setting up the credit relationship between Spectrum Logistics and your customer is crucial to a successful transition. All customers are given $5,000 of credit upon initial setup. If you have customers you know will exceed this amount, we need to increase their credit line as soon as possible. We also need to make sure that Spectrum Logistics is established as a vendor in their system.
You are welcome to facilitate this process if you like but we are happy to do it for you as well. In many cases, it is actually easier for our finance department to work with your customer’s finance department. If you know the Accounts Payable contact for your customer, please include that.
Either way, we will need a completed credit application and an email advising how much credit they will need. If you are not sure, you can estimate it by taking their average weekly spend, multiplied by 6. Click here for the Credit Application.
Setting up Carriers
Most likely your carriers are already set up in our system. To get started transitioning your carrier base work with your recruiter to identify carriers that are not in our system.
For carriers that are not in our system we have created and example communication to assist you in communicating the correct information to them. Click here to for the Carrier Transition Letter. Simply open the document and copy it into an email to your customers and attach our “Carrier Setup Package,” which includes all of the information they need to establish Spectrum Logistics as a customer. If you like, you can send out the package yourself or we can do if for you. Upon receipt of the completed carrier package, the carrier will be set up and ready to roll within one hour.
